Yes, Yes... I know...

I continue to neglect my dear friends...
... continue to make excuse after excuse of why I cannot blog... or write up patterns...

Well...
it's been crazy here..

What can I say???

I'm a wild and crazy gal.. (in my worst Steve Martin voice - most won't get that joke.. just shows my age...)

So anyways..
Thursday
(last) kids get off the school bus and I am on the phone with my Step-Father, when BLAM...
Heeeeere's Momma!
A 9 hour drive for an Easter Surprise!

So naturally, Friday, we had to do the 'beach thing'...

it doesn't matter how cold the beach is... WE HAVE TO GO!!
Then it was a trip to the Kan-Man (the Chinese Market)... and planting Sunflower Seeds..
and getting ready for Easter...

Which was questionable this year...
You see, the Beast continues to chase away all the bunnies in the yard...
and well, this got back to E.B. ... and well, he was having second thoughts about making an appearance here...
which of course would have been extremely upsetting to the People.

Well, I pondered and pondered... and thought long and hard on how to make him feel safe...

Apparently, having a fellow hopper in the house was reassurance enough...
The sugar induced comas that followed Sunday night, proved that!

But it is also SPRINGTIME...

and with Spring's arrival.. I need to begin my gardening..
This year, with the cost of every-day necessities, I cannot afford to cheat.. AT ALL...

EVERYTHING from the basil to the 'mater will have to be started from seed.
So, had to get the planting started..

But.. when I went out into the garden to make ready the soil.. I had a surprise waiting for me there as well...

"Mooshy" decided to make a home for himself in the mulch, right next to the chives - which weathered the Winter storms and have already started growing like MAD.
I could see 2 more brown stems... and I believe that Mooshy will have his Oriental brothers joining him soon.

Then yesterday, while trying to figure out what I have to do the upcoming week.. the telephone rings...
It's the dentist's office...
Tina, the young lady I made the Hello Kitty and Granny Heart blanket for previously.. needed/wanted more crocheted goodness...

She grabbed up on the BLUE Granny Heart blanket...

but was still in need of a stuffie...
I was thinking of going outside and looking under the various rocks and twigs for another of Melvins' cousins...

HOWEVER...
there was this cute little face just staring back at me...
and begging to be adopted...

..
He needs to be ready for his new home 9:30am Monday morning...
so....
Away I go... (again)

I look at this with a bit of envie. You have made so many stuff ! I spent more time these days deciding what to make and on the computer, scattering the net, ... then actually making something. So don't apologize for spending time on making this beautiful stuff and good luck with your garden !
