Prince Charming

Young Heinrich, the Frog Prince, is just waiting for that fairytale ending of a happily ever after. 
He's been so melancholy over the winter months waiting for his favorite pond to thaw; hoping someone will look beyond his outer appearance and see just how beautiful his heart is.

Perhaps this February you can be his Valentine! 
Even if a kiss is not in his future, maybe just a slumber on a little princess' pillow.

With separate piece of yarn (Spring Green used in Model) - break the single Eyeball in half, giving the appearance of 2 seperate eye balls.
Once you've completed your eyes - Slide it into the Eyelid at a slight angle, you will want to slip the yarn tail from the Eyeball through the lower part of Eyelid so that you can use this white tail, to secure bottom of Eyeball (the white area) 
to Head


PUPIL(Make 2) 
with Black,

Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Pupil to Eyeball.
With White, add a point of light to each pupil.

Valentine's Day Game w/Bag

While flowers and candy are the norm on Valentine's Day - the games are always much longer lasting. 
This classic board game, done in loving fashion, can last long after the flowers have lost their perk and the chocolates have all been eaten.

with Petal Pink,

Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to weave through the front loops of Rnd 36 to close opening and secure Bag Handle to back of Bag - centered atop the Back Flap.



CORD(Make 1) 
with White, create a cord (Model uses a Romanian Cord - link above) that is approximately 2 foot in length (approximately 150 cord stitches)
Weave through the ch-1 spaces created in Rnd 28 of Bag.  Cord should be long enough to fit easily through the Bag without any bunching up.



GAME BOARD(Make 1) 
with White,

With Petal Pink and using either Surface Stitches (as in model), Embroidery or Slip Stitches - create your grid, spacing your lines as evenly as possible.
Model leaves 12 spaces between each grid line on the short side and 13 rows between each grid line on the long side.

___ Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea of nxt 6 chs, 3 sc in end ch st - turn piece to allow you to work up the other side of original beg chain (as if a flat round), sc in ea of nxt 6 chs, Inc in last st (18 sts)
___ Rnd 2: Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, Inc in ea of nxt 3 sts, sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, Inc in ea of nxt 2 sts (24 sts)
___ Rnds 3-4: sc in ea st around (24 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 5: Dec nxt 2 sts tog, sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, (Dec nxt 2 sts tog) 3 times, sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, (Dec nxt 2 sts tog) twice (18 sts)

Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to whipstitch closed the opening of back of Eyeball and secure Eyeball to Head. With Black, divide the single long Eyeball in half, creating the appearance of 2 separate eyeballs.

with Size G Hook & Color of Choice (Light Periwinkle used in model pictured),
___ Rnd 1: Using either the [ch 2, begin work in 2nd st from hook] or [magic circle] method to begin project, 6 sc in st (6 sts) 
___ Rnd 2: [sc in nxt st, Inc in nxt st] 3 times (9 sts) 
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Eye Color to each Eyeball.


PUPIL(Make 2) 
with Size G Hook & Black,
Using either the [ch 2, begin work in 2nd st from hook] or [magic circle] method to begin project, 6 sc in st (6 sts) 
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Pupil to Eye Color on Eyeball.


EYELID(Make 2) 
with Size G Hook & Baby Pink, 
Chain 11,
___ ROW 1: slst in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea of nxt 8 chs, slst in nxt ch, TURN (10 sts) 
___ ROW 2: skp first st (slst), slst in nxt st, Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 4 sts, Inc in nxt st, skp nxt st, slst in nxt st (10 sts)
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Eyelid around Eyeball.


NOSE(Make 1) 
with Size G Hook & Baby Pink,
___ Rnd 1: Using either the [ch 2, begin work in 2nd st from hook] or [magic circle] method to begin project, 6 sc in st (6 sts)
___ Rnd 2: [Inc in nxt st] 6 times (12 sts)
___ Rnd 3: [sc in ea of nxt 2 sts, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 3 times (9 sts)
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to weave through the front loops of Rnd 3 to close opening so that no stuffing can escape and secure Nose to Heart, centered and below the eyes.


FINISHING UP
___ with Black, add a smile under the Nose.
___ with White, add points of light to Eyes.
