Courtesy Pattern : CP65 - Breast Cancer Awareness Keyhole Scarf

Whoever is responsible for establishing "Awareness Months" did a serious injustice to the seriousness of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Competing with such a "fun and child oriented" holiday as Halloween - steals the focus from those who would most benefit from the 'reminder'.

Did you know, that 1 in every 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime?
Or that almost 42 thousand women will die from breast cancer this year? and that is just in the US alone.
Did you also know that Women are NOT the only ones who can develop breast cancer?

So this week, I am going to focus not on Halloween - everyone else is doing that - but on Breast Cancer Awareness, with the release of a few Breast Cancer Awareness patterns - the first one here: 


CP65 - Breast Cancer Awareness Keyhole Scarf

Skill Level: Easy / Advanced Beginner
Measurements 46.5 inches long/ 4.5 inches wide (approx.) 
Gauge :  12 rows of 12 single crochet = 3 inches/squared (H Hook)
Yardage :  Main Color: less than 7oz/364yrds, Accent Colors: less than 4oz/202yrds

- This pattern is worked in rows.
- This pattern utilizes standard US Crochet Terms and was designed by a Right Handed Crocheter.
- Any changes in materials to this pattern, (hook size/yarn weight) will not produce the measurements above

Finish off.  Secure and weave in tail to hide.

Optional: Edge in BLO of the 'keyhole' on Scarf for a more 'finished' appearance.


With White,
using preferred method - slipstitch, surface stitch or embroidery - add some accent stripes along each side.
