CROCHET PATTERN
CP073 - Prince Charming
Prince Charming

Young Heinrich, the Frog Prince, is just waiting for that fairytale ending of a happily ever after.
He's been so melancholy over the winter months waiting for his favorite pond to thaw; hoping someone will look beyond his outer appearance and see just how beautiful his heart is.

Perhaps this February you can be his Valentine!
Even if a kiss is not in his future, maybe just a slumber on a little princess' pillow.

General Notes:
- This pattern is worked in continuous spiral rounds unless otherwise noted.
- This pattern utilizes standard US Crochet Terms.
- This pattern utilizes multiple methods to indicate repeats.  Remember, [ .. ] indicates the entire Row or Rnd, ( ... ) indicates a smaller repeat within a Row or Rnd & { ... } indicates multiple smaller repeats within a Row or Rnd.
- I recommend that you PIN all pieces in place prior to securing them permanently to insure that all pieces fit within the small frame of the project.

Jellybean & Peep

The pdf's are all written up for all 3 bunnies (Peep, Jellybean dressed and undressed) and just awaiting the photo shoot.
I had hoped to have at least Nakid Jelly up tonight for sale - but I would rather have all 3 up at the same time to avoid confusion and ensure that you are able to purchase the item you want and not have 'regret' ("oh I should have bought the dressed one!").

But.. believe me, I think you will be surprised at how quickly they work up - you will have plenty of time to get these lovely's done in time for the Easter holiday.

And because Barb asked/commented on it yesterday ... I thought I would give you a preview of another design that will be hopping in later on this week. (who measures about 12 inches in height)

**please pardon our tails and pins and bad lighting.. he has been off to the tester, but not completely sewn together yet

and of course the Duckling you saw a glimpse of last week and I am going to try to get one more in the spring collection out before the end of the week - "Lovey" - so we will see :)

I am going to take a deserved break tonight and watch Lord of the Rings, curled up with my big baby next to me - that would be the dog - as it is a 5am wake up call after a "week" of vacation.

Courtesy Pattern : CP08 Science 101 - Frog Life Cycle

Materials:
Models use Size G/6 (4mm) Crochet Hook - Gauge is NOT crucial
Red Heart Super Saver Yarns in colors: Honeydew, Spring Green, Tealeaf and the tiniest piece of Hunter Green (a few inches for mouth of frog)
6- 6mm onyx rnd beads (for eyes)/2 for each
Small amounts of Polyfil

TADPOLE
Body:
with Honeydew (or color of choice)

Using whatever method fits you best, [Magic Circle] or [chain 2, begin work in 2nd chain from hook] - 8 sc in st
___ Rnd 2: [Inc in nxt st] 8 times  (16 sts)
___ Rnd 3: [sc in nxt st, Inc in nxt st] 8 times  (24 sts)
___ Rnds 4-9: sc in ea st around  (24 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 10: [sc in ea of nxt 4 sts, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 4 times  (20 sts)
___ Rnd 11: [sc in ea of nxt 3 sts, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 4 times  (16 sts)
___ Rnd 12: sc in ea st around (16 sts)
stuff head and body to this point - rest of the tail can be very LIGHTLY stuffed or left unstuffed (model is only stuffed in head and up to this point).

___ Rnd 13: [sc in ea of nst 2 sts, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 4 times  (12 sts)
___ Rnds 14-15: sc in ea st around  (12 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 16: [ sc in nxt st, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 4 times  (8 sts)
___ Rnds17-18: sc in ea st around  (8 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 19: [Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 4 times  (4 sts)
___ Rnd 20: sc in ea st around, ch 2
Finish off, leaving tail to help shape the end of the tadpole.  Very carefully, trying to keep as much of the ch-2 to keep a 'point' at the end of the tail; sew the small opening closed.
While shaping the tail, remember you aren't making a male's tadpole *smile* - give the tail a more box-y look by first folding the tail flat and stitching it together so that it remains flat; then at about rnd 10, sew from top to bottom.  When finished with shaping, bury tail inside body to hide.  Curl the tail with your hands, by bending in any direction you wish.

Eyes (Make 2)
with Honeydew
Using same method you used to begin body,  4 sc in st.
