...bring May flowers.
Well, that's how the old rhythm goes... or at least that's how I heard it. And boy-oh-boy have we gotten some April Rains!!!
Since Easter, I think it's been sunny only 3 days here! (I could be wrong.. but I don't think I am off by much!)
But all this lovely rain has gotten my garden and flowers kicking into over-drive!!
(above) my Pink Clementis which only last week was just a little bit of green shooting through a deep sea of brown mulch. (below) My white Clementis snaking up the fishing line.
and the Sunflowers (below) that GrandMom and the kids planted the on Good Friday. Sunflowers include Goliaths, Tall Borders and Fuzzy Faces.. lol
Plenty going on in my gardens...
and yes, I've started my Thai, Holy and Italian Basils - but they remain in the window sill awaiting Mother Nature's guarantee that colder weather is long behind.
Continuing to walk around my yard.. we also find that some other residents have taken up residence in the garden areas...
guess I will have to pluck them out of the garden when my basil is ready huh?
..
wha??
hmmm....
They don't look thrilled about that idea!
The trio of 'Oriental Brothers' graced the table top of a "Earth Day" luncheon on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009. I feel so honored to have had them show-cased on such an important day.
I had another piece that was also at the luncheon, however, I have not gotten her back yet...
hmmm.....
