Crochet Along - Famous Dino CAL : Part III

Almost done!  I hope everyone is enjoying this CAL so far.  Just 2 sections left!
Let's give your Famous Dino something to stand on!!  :)


Skill Level: Easy / Advanced Beginner
Measurements: 14.5 inches tall (approx.) 
Gauge :  Not critical for this project
Yardage :  Main Color: less than 7oz/364yds, Accent Colors: less than 4oz/202yds

General Notes:
- This pattern is worked in continuous spiral rounds unless otherwise noted.
- This pattern utilizes standard US Crochet Terms.
- Any changes in materials to this pattern, (hook size/yarn weight) will not produce the approximate size listed.


Materials Used in Model
Red Heart® WW 4-Ply Yarn in 0672 Spring Green, 0321 Gold, 0320 Cornmeal, 0319 Cherry Red, 0311 White and 0312 Black 
Size G/6-4.00mm Crochet Hook (US)
Filling for Plushies (fiberfil or similar) 
Crochet Needle for sewing
Long Straight Pins for positioning



Leg (Make 2) 
with Spring Green,
Chain 6, 
___ Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea of nxt 3 chs, 3 sc in end ch st - turn piece to allow you to work up the other side of original beg chain (as if a flat round), sc in ea of nxt 3 sts, Inc in last st  (12 sts)
___ Rnd 2: Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 3 sts, Inc in ea of nxt 3 sts, sc in ea of nxt 3 sts, Inc in ea of nxt 2 sts  (18 sts)
___ Rnd 3: [sc in ea of nxt 2 sts, Inc in nxt st] 6 times  (24 sts)
___ Rnd 4: [sc in ea of nxt 7 sts, Inc in nxt st] 3 times  (27 sts)
___ Rnd 5: [sc in ea of nxt 8 sts, Inc in nxt st] 3 times  (30 sts)
___ Rnds 6-10: sc in ea st around  (30 sts)
___ Rnd 11: [sc in ea of nxt 8 sts, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 3 times  (27 sts)

___ Rnds 18-21: sc in ea st around  (15 sts/ea rnd)
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Leg to top of Foot.  Use preferred joining method to attach Leg to Body.


Foot (Make 2) : 
with Gold,
___ Rnd 1: Using either the [ch 2, begin work in 2nd st from hook] or [magic circle] method to begin project, 6 sc in st (6 sts)
___ Rnd 2: [Inc in nxt st] 6 times  (12 sts)
___ Rnd 3: [sc in nxt st, Inc in nxt st] 6 times  (18 sts)
___ Rnd 4: [sc in ea of nxt 2 sts, Inc in nxt st] 6 times  (24 sts)
___ Rnd 5: (Inc in nxt st, sc in nxt st) 5 times, Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 13 sts  (30 sts)
___ Rnd 6: (Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 2 sts) 5 times, Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 14 sts  (36 sts)
___ Rnds 7-9: sc in ea st around  (36 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 10: (Dec nxt 2 sts tog, sc in ea of nxt 2 sts) 5 times, Dec nxt 2 sts tog, sc in ea of nxt 14 sts  (30 sts)
___ Rnds 11-12: sc in ea st around  (30 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 13: (Dec nxt 2 sts tog, sc in nxt st) 5 times, Dec nxt 2 sts tog, sc in ea of nxt 13 sts  (24 sts)
___ Rnds 14-22: sc in ea st around  (24 sts/ea rnd)
___ Rnd 23: [sc in ea of nxt 2 sts, Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 6 times  (18 sts)
___ Rnd 24: [Dec nxt 2 sts tog] 9 times  (9 sts)
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to weave through the front loops of Rnd 24 to close opening so that no stuffing can escape.
As you stuff Foot, try to keep bottom more flat - the bottom of the Foot is that section Rnds 5 through 13)  with contains NO increases/Decreases.  



Sole (Make 2) 
with Cornmeal,
Chain 9, 
___ Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea of nxt 6 chs, 3 sc in end ch st - turn piece to allow you to work up the other side of original beg chain (as if a flat round),  sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, Inc in last st  (18 sts)
___ Rnd 2: Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, Inc in ea of nxt 3 sts, sc in ea of nxt 6 sts, Inc in ea of nxt 2 sts  (24 sts)
___ Rnd 3: sc in nxt st, Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 7 sts, (Inc in nxt st, sc in nxt st) twice, Inc in nxt st, sc in ea of nxt 7 sts, Inc in nxt st, sc in nxt st, Inc in nxt st  (30 sts)
___ Rnd 4: [sc in ea of nxt 4 sts, Inc in nxt st] 6 times  (36 sts)
___ Rnd 5: [sc in ea of nxt 5 sts, Inc in nxt st] 6 times  (42 sts)
___ Rnd 6: in FLO, slst in ea st around  (42 sts)
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Sole to bottom of Foot. 



Boot Cuff (Make 2) : 
with Gold,
___ Rnd 1: Using either the [ch 2, begin work in 2nd st from hook] or [magic circle] method to begin project, 6 sc in st (6 sts)
___ Rnds 2-30: sc in ea st around  (6 sts/ea rnd)
Finish off, leaving sufficient tail remaining to secure Rnd 30 to Rnd 1 around base of the Leg, where Leg and Foot meet.
