CP61 - Funny Little Puppy (& Liver Cancer Awareness)
RIP my sweet girl ERIS .. 2011 - 2019
Pawprints Left By You
You no longer greet me,
as I walk through the door.
You're not there to make me smile,
to make me laugh anymore.
Life seems quiet without you.
You were far more than a pet.
You were a family member, a friend
a loving soul I'll never forget.
It will take time to heal,
for the silence to go away.
I still listen for you,
and miss you everyday.
You were such a great companion
Constant, Loyal and True.
My heart will always wear,
the pawprints left by you.

Remembrance Day Poppy Applique
A beautiful flower - but do you know the history of the Poppy? Why it's often referred to as the "Remembrance Day" flower?
The remembrance poppy was inspired by the World War I poem "In Flanders Fields". Its opening lines were written by John McCrae of Canada, who served as a soldier in Europe during World War I.
McCrae wrote about the red flowers he saw growing, that were the first flowers to grow in the churned-up earth of soldiers' graves in Flanders, a region of Belgium.
But it wasn't until the early 20th century that a University of Georgia professor decided she would wear a red silk flower to honor the sacrifice of soldiers. Moina Michael then persuaded a military veterans group to use the poppy as an emblem of remembrance.
And in France, it was a woman named Anne Guérin, who urged French citizens to make and sell cloth poppies to raise money to repair the country after World War I.
Today, the flowers are worn in France, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on November 11 and on the last Monday of May in the United States... Memorial Day - in Remembrance of all those who made the Ultimate Sacrifice for Freedom.
This year, FDbyK4TT presents the Remembrance Poppy Applique for you to crochet and wear to celebrate the lives and sacrifices of those who have served.

For the Dogs...
Everyone always tells me - you don't do "dog" toys..
Well, I do... you just don't know I am using it as a "dog toy".
My beasties love when I make mistakes on my amigurumis. When something just isn't working as it should - sometimes it gets 'frogged' - most times, it becomes a toy.
The Max Beast loves the KISS Series the best as he can shake them and run with them and just be a big ole bruiser. His sister loves the rounder, ball like things - like a doll head I started to design and then abandoned.

But here's one that leaves no question who it's for.

Prayer Pillow
Love Lives On
Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
far as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in the heart.

Aubry the Autism Awareness Bear
Do you realize that 1 in every 68 children in America is diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder each year?
National Autism Awareness Month gives us the opportunity to promote autism awareness, understanding and acceptance for the thousands of families affected by an ASD diagnosis.
Being the Mother of 2 children on the spectrum, I know first hand how challenging it can be for a child with an ASD diagnosis; both in school as well as in their social relationships.
To help celebrate Autism Awareness Month, I am offering Aubry the Autism Awareness Bear Crochet Pattern, at a very special price this weekend.
