Introducing: The KISS Gator

Gustavus the Gator is ready to make your acquaintance.  Gus really is a sweet lil' gator, unlike his famous cousin Gustave; the Nile Crocodile of Burundi, known for his dietary preferences (humans) and a PBS television special.

Gus loves hanging out in the AC during the summer months and helping you eat a nice ripe slice of watermelon  or some seedless grapes.  Oh?  I didn't mention that??  Sorry, yes, Gus the Gator is a vegetarian.   He would be "vegan" but he enjoys ice cream too much!

The KISS Gator contains 10 pages of pattern instructions, with detail oriented photographs and instructions to help you bring this 12" tall little chomper into your little one's life.

Squeakers the KISS Series Mouse

The People (longtime readers know that 'the people' are my lovely children) have informed me that I can no longer put out any KISS Series plushies without giving them 'suitable names'.  This coming from those who think that a cat named "Chocolate Muffin Cupcake with Sprinkles" and a Dog named "If I Drool On It - It's Mine" are the sorts that simply roll off the tongue with the ease of .. oh I don't know.. Snoopy.
Well, we will see what we can do about 'naming' the KISS Animals both in the future and giving those already published a good name.

The first to be introduced to you in this manner is Squeakers the Mouse.  (Guess who named him?)  Squeakers was actually created in 2009 along with the original 4 - but his notes were lost and while he's not exactly the same as his brother; he is pretty close to the original.

This morning I caught him sneaking into my peanut butter...  3 guesses as to what gave him away...  yup.. he was squeaking trying to get the pesky lid off.

The K.I.S.S. Mouse contains 8 pages of pattern instructions, with detail oriented photographs and instructions to help you bring this sweet little peanut butter loving cutie into your cupboards today.

Labor Day & Back 2 School

Wow!  Really?  The Summer is over already?   But I got nothing done!!

Well, okay, so that is not entirely true.  It's been very busy for me here on the home front. One child going off to Middle School and the youngest entering into the 6th Grade!
But truth be told, I am not a "Summer Person".. I have learned the older I get, the more I dislike the 3 H's of Summer (Hazy, Hot & Humid)  -  it's all fine and dandy if your a kid and enjoy playing in the pool all day..
but I am an artist - either by paper (which gets all wet n nasty in the humidity) or by fiber (which sticks to your sweaty fingers)...
so I am looking forward to Fall and of course, Winter!

There have been a FEW patterns released over the Summer Months.. I will post individual sales pages this week for the ones that I missed..
but just in case you missed them  (and can't wait for me to post them here) :

There was the KISS Series Unicorn:

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/106---yankee-doodle-teddybear

So I guess I didn't slack off too much :)  But there is so much more coming ...
and don't forget ... I will be having a "Giveaway" next month, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners... total retail value of over $50.00USD in prizes
(and no, it's not just patterns... more information coming so keep watching for updates and how to win!!)

A Face Only a Mother Could Love

or a doodler!
Actually, I love Moose, but I also love deer and cow and all sorts of animals that many just view as "live stock" ... (food).

So it only seemed natural to add the K.I.S.S. Moose to the collection, as this holiday season approaches.
When we were stationed in Alaska, it was just as common to see one of these beautiful creatures strolling through your back yard, as it is for most to see a 'coon or 'possum.

For anyone who doesn't realize and may see these animals as sort of 'just an overgrown deer'... umm.. no.
Think HORSE and you'd hit your mark a little closer.
I have a photograph packed away somewhere, (I will have to try and find it) of my Sorel® booted foot (a size 7) next to a moose print in the snow outside my home in AK.  My foot - an "average woman's size", looks like a child's print next to the track my visitor left behind.

The K.I.S.S. Moose contains 9 pages of pattern instructions, with detail oriented photographs and instructions to help you bring this most majestic of winter wildlife into your home.
