CP69 - Daughter Claus Ponytail Cap

My youngest is always looking for something new and unique to show off at school.  So this year, I made some Christmas themed accessories for her.

Sadly, she was not available to model for photos.  Senior life, especially when you're involved with clubs, councils and activities, not to mention the day to day grind of work and social life.. I am just lucky to catch her for a few minutes at dinnertime.
ahhh to be a teenager again!!

but her sister was kind enough to stand in, so I could share the pattern with my doodlers...

A project that works up very quick for that last minute festive touch to add a bit of homemade flair to your holiday wardrobe.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/ Intermediate
Measurements: 10.5 inches wide - flat/ 7.5 inches tall / 24.5 inch diameter (approx.)
Size: Adult - One Size fits Most
Gauge :  12 rows of 12 single crochet = 3 inches/squared (H Hook)
Yardage :  Main Color: less than 7oz/364yrds, Accent Colors: less than 4oz/202yrds

General Notes:

- This pattern is worked in joined rounds, with an UNCOUNTED, loose ch-1 at the beginning of each Rnd, unless otherwise noted.  This is my preferred method in creating Double Crochet rounds without gaps - however, you may use your preferred method - just insure your count matches mine for the end of each round.
- This pattern utilizes standard US Crochet Terms and has been designed by a Right Handed Crocheter.
- Any changes in materials to this pattern, (hook size/yarn weight) will not produce the measurements above.

Special Stitches:
- This pattern utilizes an Extended Single Crochet (esc) for the first round. You can find a tutorial on how to work the esc here: AA: Beyond Basics Stitches - Extended Single
- This pattern utilizes a Front Post Double Crochet (FpDC) to create the texture in this cap.  You can find a tutorial on how to work the FpDC here: AA: Beyond Basic Stitches - Front Post
- This pattern also utilizes Loop Stitches (LpSt) to create a fuzzy look.  You can find a tutorial on how to make the Loop Stitch here: AA: Beyond Basic Stitches - Loop Stitch
- Recommended that you wait until the final step before cutting loops and brushing out yarn to create the finished look.

CP52: 12 Days of Christmas 2018 (Harry Potter Theme)

Pack your bags and it' all aboard the Hogwarts Express.  Leaving from King's Cross Station from platform 9 3/4  at 11 o'clock - precisely!!  So don't dawdle.

This bag can't be found at any shop in Diagon Alley - you'll have to hook one up for yourself in your own House Colors!
The Potter series has several characters who knit (Molly Weasley (movie), Hermione (both) and Hagrid (book) can all be 'seen' knitting items of clothing - but even Dumbledore admits to 'loving knitting patterns'), so this bag is a mock-knit look to fit that theme!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
Measurements: 11.5 inches tall/ 14.5 inches wide - not including handles (approx.)
Gauge :  16 rows of 11 center single crochet = 3 inches/squared
Yardage :  Main Color: less than 7oz/364yds, Accent Colors: less than 7oz/364yds

General Notes:
- This pattern is worked in joined rounds unless otherwise noted.
- This pattern utilizes standard US Crochet Terms.
- Any changes in materials to this pattern, (hook size/yarn weight) will not produce the measurements above.

- This pattern utilizes Center Single Crochet Stitches (csc) to create a knit look.  You can find a tutorial on how to make Center Single Crochet Stitches here: Moogly: CSC Stitch Video
- Recommended that you insert a piece of cardboard inside your bag while attaching handles so that you do not accidentally sew back and front of bag together while attaching.
