Handful of Kitten

The 11th in the Handful Series is a little late in her introduction.

This sweet little Kitty has been waiting for her time to shine.  And now is perfect, since I am currently working so hard on charity works to benefit many of her furry counterparts in the real world.

Each year, thousands of kitties are searching for their forever homes to spend the holidays in.  This little kitty would love to spend the holidays with you and your family!  She'd be purrfect peeking from a stocking on Christmas morning or even playing within a bow on the top of a package.

The Handful Series was designed to give you the absolute freedom to customize as you wish - creating your very own personalized handmade and heartfelt gift.  Color changes (or lack there of)is completely at purchaser’s discretion. The use of embroidery techniques or purchased plastic additions may be employed to finish your doodle.  Basically - There is NO right or wrong way to make your doodle.

A Handful of Kitten contains 8 pages of pattern instructions, with detail oriented photographs and instructions to help you bring this happy, 8 inch little friend together.

Food Glorious Food...

I just can't help myself...
Since having my daughters, some of the animals I once viewed as 'disgusting' or 'morbid' just because they 'do what they do'- have taken on a whole new light.
For example; Vultures are surely associated with death and morbidity.  Well at least in the most general census of birds.  However, I can't help it but to think of the committee of Vultures asking "What we gonna do?" reminiscent of Ringo, George, Paul and John (The Jungle Book) - or the chorus of Vultures singing "Food, Glorious Food".

"...Flesh picked off the dead ones
Rank, rotten or chewed
Soon we'll be the fed ones

Just thinking of putrid meat
Puts us in a mood

For food, glorious food
Marvellous food
Fabulous food
Beautiful food
Magical food

Glorious food!!..."
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown - John Powell
Original Score Written by Lionel Bart - Oliver!

Sort of steals the fear factor away from these birds eh?

Thank goodness for the likes of Pixar & Disney that these majestic creatures can find a new light as a sort of "warm & fuzzy" - or - at the very least, with a jovial sense of humor.
It is the more warm and fuzzy variety that I bring you as a Handful of Vulture.

A Raven or a Crow?

Our ancestors, no matter what faith, creed or color; attached subtext to events to try and explain them in a rational sense - for the most part, we call it "fokelore".  I grew up hearing that birds carried the souls of the dead. Not as much reincarnation; but that birds, especially crows & ravens (probably because of their color), are more like soul taxi cabs.

So it's only fitting that the Crow (or Raven) fits in so easily in with the Halloween theme.
Introducing a Handful of Crow, the 10th in the Handful Series of promised quick projects.
Ready in just hours, these cute little handfuls make the perfect gift for any occasion.

Heavy Footfalls - But Have No Fear...

9th in the Handful Series

Although the month of October and heavy footfalls go hand in hand with monsters and ghoulies and ghosts - this is one footfall that you need not fear.
These thunderous footsteps belong to the sweetest of sweets.  This cute little elephant would love to go Trick or Treating with your little one.  Just keep him away from children dressed as mice...  or as a giant peanut.

Handful or Neckful?

8th in the Handful Series

Introducing a Handful of Giraffe. One of my associates has come to believe that I had gone on safari with the latest members to the handful family.  But I just cannot resist 'tiny giraffes'.  The truth of the matter is, that one of my dear friends has a love of giraffes - and after the millionth viewing of an Xfinity commercial that features a teeny tiny giraffe - well a handful of giraffe was born.
This Handful is the 8th in the line of promised quick projects.
