Whomever is responsible for establishing "Awareness Months" did a serious injustice to the seriousness of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Competing with such a "fun and child oriented" Holiday as Halloween - steals the focus from those who would most benefit from the 'reminder'.
Did you know, that 1 in every 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime?
Or that almost 42 thousand women will die from breast cancer this year? and that is just in the US alone.
Did you also know that Women are NOT the only ones who can develop breast cancer?
So this week, I am going to focus not on Halloween - everyone else is doing that - but on Breast Cancer Awareness, with the release of a few Breast Cancer Awareness patterns - the first one here:
