The Bald Eagle - the symbol of the United States of America and a beautiful bird of prey that can be seen throughout many parts of the US.
Those who see my personal Facebook posts, know we have had a host of baby birds (robins, sparrows and some sort of finch) in my yard this year (still waiting to find a hummingbird nest) - and protecting these little fledglings (from my own beasties as well as natural predators) has been on my mind for the past few weeks.
For those of my friends not in the US. this is just a beautiful and majestic bird, easily recognized by it’s white head and fierce reputation.
