Custom Order - Lineman P.2

Well, not the best in photos, but I managed to complete the Lineman Doll.  The recipient will end up getting him tomorrow.

He was well received and I was told I captured the likeness of the recipient without ever seeing the guy.  ESP
:o)

Please HELP...

If you could help someone who is homeless, get into a home.. would you help?
What if all you had to do was turn on your television set and watch 60 minutes of a Food Program... could you do it?

Charity is a BIG thing with me.  Often I donate all of my Doodle proceeds to charity...
I am asking that my readers PLEASE spread the word and tune into "BIZARRE FOODS" because "For every viewer who watches this episode, Travel Channel will donate 10 cents to the 100,000 Homes Campaign, up to $100,000."

Now 10 cents might not sound like a lot.. but just imagine if all my blog followers would tell 10 people to watch; and each of those 10 people were to tell, even, 5 people to watch, and so on and so on...
Travel Channel could end up making a very charitable contribution to help end homelessness in America.

Is watching a television program really that much effort to make in order to put a roof over someone's head?

Please tune into Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern on Tuesday, March 1st - 9 p.m. E/P

I will be watching.. will you?

Custom Order - Lineman

This weekend, I shall attempt to finish up a 'custom order' of sorts (a very special someone has requested/nagged me to death for them *grin*) - Several dolls are mere inches high, using a Sz 8 thread hook with 2 strands of WW Yarn - which has to be manually separated... the larger doll is about 6.5 inches tall using WW Yarn (4-ply).  It's tedious work.. that is very stressful on my wrist, which still has it's 'bubble'..

Some pieces of the pattern are a bit challenging, so I am not sure what will become of it.

I am just curious how many others would be interested in the Lineman Pattern..

Re: Famous Characters

Recently, I've received requests to design famous iconic characters as well as some Video Gaming characters. Thank you for your confidence, however, I must decline.

These iconic characters, most of which fall under 'Trademark' and/or  'Service Marks', could, potentially have some serious ramifications from larger companies like Disney, Paws, Inc/Jim Davis, Capcom, etc.
TradeMark is taken just as serious, if not more so than Copyright - as these characters are the 'bread and butter' for a company - infringing on those marks could potentially cause monetary loss, lack of quality control and/or  loss of sponsorship/approval of goods.  Trademarks, essentially, make it easier for consumers to identify the source of any given good, companies are not willing to give up their exclusivity easily (or cheaply).

For this reason, it is not beneficial for me to take the time it needs to design, test and prepare a quality product for retail sale.  While I cannot say it will never happen, as there is currently a "Hello Kitty" which is awaiting a stitch job and some facial features - only characters which my children have asked for would stand a chance of being made.

Any iconic 'tributary' designs, will always be made available for FREE on my blog and therefore 'orders' or 'requests' for such items are strictly designed or ignored at my discretion.

For those who insist, "so-and-so sells this-or-that and they don't have problems."
I have a few friends (one very close) who've recently been reprimanded by legal advisories from companies such as Warner Brothers and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation for items which were listed on etsy and that can no longer be advertised as previously done.
I am simply not willing to put the FiberDoodles by K4TT name in the line of fire, for a potential legal actions.

Newest in the KISS Series - Sock Monkey

Or S'Monkey as I call him.

I've never been fond of the whole 'sock monkey' craze, but several friends seem to find this creation the cutest thing going.  I was asked to create a Sock Monkey KISS for a Valentine's Day gift for a friend's husband..

S'Monkey is in testing currently, but will be available soon in my etsy shop.

Do Not Hide From Me!

This little cutie is a bit shy.
He's been hiding in the yarn bin since October 2010.

Poor little guy... he's too cute to hide and would make for a perfect Easter Basket buddy for the little one in your life.

The K.I.S.S. Duckling will be available this weekend at my etsy shop.
